This unique Iris Wall Sculpture is made out of a strong smooth porcelain. The design is inspired by the irises that grow wildly in my front yard and multiply each year.
I meticulously hand carved the delicate porcelain and smoothed the edges. After it was carefully loaded into the kiln and fired, I brushed on a clear glaze to reveal the luminous porcelain underneath and fired it again to ensure maximum strength.
A small metal hook is hidden for hanging.
