As winter turned to spring, Irises bloomed in my garden. It was a surprise. They'd never grown there before. To mark this miracle, I sketched their delicate beauty and knew I must make a piece in their image.
This piece was made on the potters wheel, carved by hand, smoothed, and glazed clear to reveal the luminous porcelain.
