FAQs

Shipping:

WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY ORDER?

I try to ship each order within 2-3 business days.  As I am a one-person-business, I can not guarantee that this will always be the case.  Sometimes I'm out of town or consumed by parenting obligations.

I use USPS Priority 2-3 day shipping.  Most orders are received within a week of ordering.

NEED SOMETHING FAST?

If you need something shipped FAST, feel free to email me at QuigleyCeramics@gmail.com, so I can be of service.

HOW DO YOU SHIP SUCH FRAGILE WORK?

I like to say I have a major in Ceramics and a minor in Packing + Shipping

Each piece is bubble wrapped and placed in a box with additional packing paper or peanuts.  Except for small works, that box is then placed within a larger box with packing materials between the two containers.

I use faster shipping so that your package is delivered quickly and handled less frequently.

I fully insure each shipment.  If the package experienced damage in any way I can create a new piece with top priority or refund your purchase.

MY PIECE ARRIVED DAMAGED:

Though it does not happen often, it is a sad possibility.  Take a couple pictures of the damaged box and piece.  Send these to me within 5 days to QuigleyCeramics@gmail.com.  I will alert the USPS with these images and get working on replacing your piece as quickly as possible.

RETURNS:

It is my sincere hope and purpose to create art that brings joy on first sight.  I'm often told that the work is even more beautiful in person than online.

If you feel that your order was misrepresented and are dissatisfied, I can offer a refund with the return of the package within 5 days of receiving it.  Return shipping, including insurance, are the responsibility of the customer.  The same packing supplies and manor must be used.  Email me here: QuigleyCeramics@gmail.com

Returns for "change of mind" or "I was just trying it out in my space" are not accepted.  I am a one-woman-business so each online order takes significant time, care, and materials.  I much rather create more beautiful pieces in my studio than pull inventory, meticulously pack, and drive to the post office.e

Custom Orders are non-refundable.

CUSTOM ORDERS

I am happy to create a piece just for you with the following in mind:

I take 50% of the agreed upon price to begin work.  The balance is due before I ship it.

Custom orders take about 6 weeks to ship.  So long right?!  In addition to the time and love put into creating each piece, my work needs to dry really slowly, often over the course of weeks.  Then it goes through two 24hr firings in the kiln.

I only use the glazes (colors) I have in my studio and have done lots of tests with.  I cannot match paint swatches.  I cannot help you match the color palette of your dining room.  Glaze results are a result of chemistry between natural oxides and minerals with the heat of a 2,000 degree kiln more than an artist-controlled endeavor.

Happiest customers are those that use screenshots of a particular piece of mine and say "I'd like that piece with this glaze."

Size:  Most pieces you see on my website (or instagram) can be made bigger or smaller.  I have some size limitations because of my kiln and even, yes, my skill level.  I can't make a 3 foot tall pot......yet!
